Architectural Woodwork Institute Quality
Certified
The Architectural Woodwork Institute Quality Certified Program evaluates woodworking firms in a variety of ways before
naming them Certified Participants. Riverfront Custom Design has been awarded the highest rank:
Premium.
Criteria

Fills out an application for participation

Submits 10 letters of recommendation from architects,
designers, contractors and building owners that attest to the
participant's record of successful projects.

Complete a 150 question test to assure that the
woodworker has a thorough understanding of the current edition of the
AWI Quality Standards.

A certification program representative reviews shop
drawings prepared by the participating woodworker and checks for
completeness, understandability, and appropriateness.

The program representative then inspects at least one
project the woodworker has installed and checks for installation,
quality, product defects and compliance with the installation guidelines
in the AWI Quality Standards.

Finally, an inspection is made of the woodworker's
manufacturing facility where management and production personnel,
fabrication processes and techniques are all evaluated and graded.
Following this evaluation and certification, additional
inspections are made on a periodic basis to ensure produced work is in
accordance with the AWI Quality Standards.
